Giveh is a traditional shoe made with cotton fibers. It is a cool, lightweight, washable, and fitted to Iran's climate, and has been used for many different classes, especially villagers and nomads.
The steps involved in making Giveh include: leather making, weaving, bedding and embroidery. Sometimes all these steps are done by different persons. In most cases, women do a weaving using cotton and special needles.
