A kilim is a flat tapestry-woven carpet or rug traditionally produced in all part of Iran in different form a and with different color and motives.  Modern kilims are popular floor-coverings in households.

Kilim is a carpet whitout nap which has waro and weft. The warp is from woll and the weft is from cotton. The rug designs with the insertion of colored weft occure between warps. The patterns are often inspired by nature and geometrical abstract.
