Big and Small Farour islands are in the south of Iran and placed in Persian Gulf. These two non habitat islands are a good places for birds. The nearest port to going to these islands is Bandar-Bostanu but by getting permission from Hormozgan Deportment of Enviroment using boats of this department from Bandar Lengeh will be possible.
Far from the land and being nonhabitat are the reosons getting these islands refuge of different birds.
Small Farour is a tiny flat island that only halophyte have be grown there. Big Farur as its name shows is more bigger than the other Farur that Prosopis cineraria have been grown there.
Breeding birds in the summer becom these place a unique place specially because of Audubon's shearwater, Osprey in Big Farur and bridled tern in Small Farur. For visiting all these groups should go there in hot hummidity wether in summer.
In winter also there is a chance of watching some kinds of birds like Socotra Cormorant, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, Slender-billed Gull, Whiskered Tern.
