Why we focus on Tourism?

The tourism industry is currently one of the most powerful tools for economic and social development, especially in developing and poor countries. The industry has been ranked as the world's third-largest income industry and now has 10% of the economy and 8% of the world's job opportunities. The World Tourism Organization has predicted that by 2030, the number of tourists will reach 1.8 billion, bringing about $ 4.8 billion a day, which is several times the total oil revenue of OPEC countries.

According to the World Tourism Organization, tourism is the most powerful tool for the development of economics and sustainable development of the environment, and is a comprehensive solution for a better future for the land and its inhabitants, and no other sector, such as tourism, can do about job creation, poverty alleviation, sustainable development and dialogue between Cultures and peacebuilding on the ground.

According to the UNESCO, Iran has been ranked among the world's top ten countries in terms of diverse assets, including history, a rich history of Iranian-Islamic civilization, a very diverse culture, language, clothing, etc. Climate diversity and natural attractions are among the three leading countries in the world. In spite of such cultural and historical richness, Iran's tourism industry, also known as the "green industry", does not rank well among other countries. At present, Iran's share of the world's tourism revenue is negligible and is not even among the top 100 countries in the world. According to statistics, Iran's tourism income in 2013 was only $6 billion. While in the same year (2013), countries in the world earned $1,400 billion worth of this industry; the share of Iran was only 0.4% of the total.
